Control Panel/Audio Assembly Replacement

To replace the Control Panel/Audio Assembly, shut down the system, remove power, remove the system cover, refer to the figure, and follow these steps.

  1. Remove the Front Bezel.
  2. Push in on the tabs to disengage the control panel assembly.
  3. Before removing the cables from the control panel assembly as instructed below, be sure to note the following wiring scheme:
  4. Slide each switch forward out of the panel, then use the slot provided to remove the switches and their cables from the sides through the slots.
  5. Slide each LED forward out of the panel, then pivot it 90 degrees and use the slot provided to remove the LEDs and their cables through the slots in the rear of the control panel.
  6. Remove the upper fan assembly and disconnect and remove the thermister by reaching into the enclosure and pinching together the tines that extend through the enclosure grid.
    The switch and LED cables and their attached switch or indicator are now free of the control panel, but still connected to the MLB.
  7. Disconnect the audio module cable from its connector on the MLB and slide the connector forward through the enclosure.
    The control panel and audio module can now be lifted free of the enclosure.
  8. Unplug the switch and LED cable connections from the MLB and remove them from the enclosure.
  9. Reverse these steps to install the replacement control panel and cables.
